Post Doctoral Scholar awardee for the Hale lab to conduct research on microbial metabolism of environmental chemicals, involving microbial culture, urothelial cell tissue culture, and mouse model studies.
The scholar awardee will participate in the President's Postdoctoral Scholars Program (PPSP) to support and community building activities which are aimed at enhancing their training and increasing career success. This will include bimonthly meetings with OPA staff, professional development workshops, social events, and an exit interview.
Position will also oversee graduate and undergraduate students involved in similar research.
Required
PhD in microbial ecology with host associated microbiome research experience. Must be PPSP award recipient.
Working Conditions
Laboratory and animal work; may be exposed to zoonic diseases.
This is a two-year term position. Target salary: $50,000 annually.
