Job Description

Calling All Change Makers: Join Us in Shaping the Future!
Are you a recent PhD graduate or current post doc ready to make a meaningful impact? The Mizzou iChange & Aspire Team is on the lookout for a post-doctoral associate to join our dynamic crew for the 2024-2025 academic year with the possibility of renewal.
About Us:

We're at the forefront of a transformational movement in higher education, driven by the National Science Foundation's Aspire Alliance and iChange Network. Our mission? To transform the way we recruit and retain STEM faculty members, making departments more inclusive and supportive of faculty to enhance education, research, and community engagement.  Mizzou had an iChange team that participated for three years (2019-2022) in a national cohort led by the Division of IDE and Office of the Provost with STEM faculty. The team created two sub-goals for our campus, further developed through attendance at Aspire’s Summer Institute in 2022.
The Opportunity:
As a post-doctoral fellow, you'll be at the heart of our action-packed initiatives. With the backing of the Offices of the President, Provost, and IDE, we're launching two exciting projects that align with our iChange goals. You'll play a crucial role in conducting research, gathering data, and contributing to the success of these projects.
What We Are Looking For:
Mizzou’s iChange and Aspire team is looking for a post-doctoral fellow who has strong research skills in both qualitative and quantitative research.  The fellow will need to: write observation field notes, conduct interviews/focus groups, transcribe recordings, catalogue and manage data. The post-doctoral associate will also analyze and interpret data for the research components of the project (both qualitative and quantitative data). The associate will help with project management and logistics of the iChange and Aspire team’s planning for campus projects and initiatives. Ideally, the associate will have experience facilitating workshops and trainings on inclusive excellence. The associate will need to attend team meetings several times each month.
