Position Description


Advertised Job Summary
The fellow will complete clinical assessments with typical and clinical populations (preterm infants, infant siblings of children with autism), lead autism diagnostic evaluations, provide feedback to families, administer and score clinical and behavioral assessments, lead clinical team meetings, and contribute to training clinical psychology doctoral students, clinicians, and research staff. As a member of the ESDLab, the candidate will work closely with the Principal Investigator and research staff and have the opportunity to participate in additional research activities if desired.
Required Education and Experience
Doctoral degree in clinical or school psychology, experience and training in autism diagnostic assessment for young children.
Preferred Qualifications
Clinical licensed psychologist in the state of South Carolina. 3+ years clinical experience with children and families providing therapy and comprehensive diagnostic evaluations.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Training and proficiency in administering the Autism Diagnostic Observation System (ADOS), along with other developmental and cognitive measures; experience providing diagnostic feedback and consultation with families. .

Administer and review clinical assessments (in-lab and in-home) with typical and clinical populations (preterm infants, siblings of children with autism) to develop diagnostic conclusions based on DSM-5 criteria. Lead diagnostic evaluation meetings for the team to discuss differential diagnoses and develop consensus to complete Clinical Best Estimate (CBE) for each participant.
