Job Title: Postdoctoral Fellow/Trainee

Position #: 00817641 – Requisition #: 31807

Job Summary:

The BIOElectrics lab, a translational neuroscience research group led by Dr. Cristin Welle, is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to join our team. Our group investigates neuroelectronic interfaces, and this project focuses on the effect of vagus nerve stimulation on motor learning, cortical plasticity and rehabilitation. Our approach combines chronic VNS with optogenetics, in vivo two-photon imaging, electrophysiology and skilled motor tasks in the mouse model system. We are seeking creative neuroscientist or neural engineer with a background in motor control, systems neuroscience or related fields. Prior experience with animal models, survival surgery, programming, designing and implementing closed-loop systems and in vivo imaging are desired.

The BIOElectrics lab spans clinical and engineering departments, and is an active part of the Neuroscience Program. As such, the research project includes both basic and translational neuroscience work. We are a creative, collaborative lab with a focus on support and career development. This position has a competitive starting salary and great mountain views at the new Anschutz Medical Center in Denver.
