Job Summary:

We seek a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join the Fujita Lab, part of the Department of Dermatology and Immunology & Microbiology at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. The appointment will be for a two to three-year period. The main emphasis of this position will be working in the research areas of autoimmunity, immune tolerance, and GVHD. Experience in immunology, particularly adaptive immunity or immune tolerance, is desired.

  • FACS analysis and sorting
  • Cellular biological experiments
  • Molecular biological experiments
  • Planning experiments
  • Analyzing and interpreting data
  • Troubleshooting experiments
  • Summarizing data for a weekly discussion, lab meeting, or a national/international conference
  • Transfection or knockdown/knockout of genes, generation of stable clones.

The Laboratory Manager oversees all technical laboratory staff in the Dermatology Laboratory. The employee will handle problems as they arise.  

Work Location:

Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, Colorado.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire
 

  • Graduation from an accredited college/university with a PhD in Immunology or a relevant program.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Immunology (including a PhD training)
  • Experience in working with small animal models.
  • Prior successful working experience using various molecular and cellular biology techniques. 

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Experience in cell culture, flow cytometry, animal handling, imaging
  • The ability to work independently within the research lab.
  • Excellent in writing, reading, and communicating in English.

    The starting salary range (or hiring range ) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

    $57,300
