Job Summary:

The Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Colorado School of Medicine’s mission is to provide outstanding, cutting-edge clinical care, research, and state-of-the-art training.

The Virtual Hearing Lab of Dr. Vinaya Manchaiah, Professor and Director of Audiology in the Department of Otolaryngology, is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow for a full-time position on the University of Colorado Denver Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO.

The Virtual Hearing Lab is an interdisciplinary collaborative research initiative with the aim to improve hearing health access, affordability, and outcomes by capitalizing on the internet, virtual spaces, and digital health.

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to oversee the research on hearing aid service delivery model. This NH funded projects aims to perform an effectiveness implementation trial to examine the effect of hearing aid service delivery models comparing the outcomes of gold standard prescription hearing aids with three different over-the-counter (OTC) hearing aid service delivery models and also examine the implement ability aspects.

The postdoctoral fellow is expected to work between Dr. Manchaiah’s Virtual hearing Lab at the Anschutz Medical Campus at Aurora and Dr. Anu Sharma’s Brain and Behavior Laboratory at the University of Colorado Boulder.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

  • Ph.D. in Audiology or Hearing Science (or similar)
  • Track record of productive research including first author publication(s) and presentations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience performing audiological tests and in fitting digital hearing aids
  • Audiology state license to practice in the United States

    Anticipated Pay Range:

    The starting salary range (or hiring range ) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

    $56,484 - $63,852.

    The above salary range (or hiring range ) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
