Job Summary:

A full-time POSTDOCTORAL POSITION for a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD is available in the laboratory of Kentaro Yomogida, MD, Assistant Professor in the Division of Rheumatology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. S/He will be a valued contributor to a multi-disciplinary team with experts in mucosal immunology, epigenetic analysis, autoimmune disease and translational studies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and conduct a research project including the performance of techniques involving genetic sequencing and analysis, gene mutagenesis, cloning, protein expression and purification, enzyme kinetics and inhibitor testing, cellular assays, and murine models of disease.
  • Data acquisition and analysis.
  • Write abstracts and manuscripts and present findings at conferences.

Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO on the Anschutz Medical Campus

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

  • PhD, MD, or MD/PhD. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A background in immunology, as well as innate curiosity, good organizational and interpersonal skills, and a desire to pursue an independent academic career. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience in genetic sequencing analysis as well as bacterial cloning and protein expression
  • Outstanding recordkeeping, writing, and oral presentation skills
  • Willingness to work with mice

    Anticipated Pay Range:

    The starting salary range (or hiring range ) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

    $57k - 75k (depending on level of experience)

    The above salary range (or hiring range ) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
