Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
The Berglund lab in the Department of Veterinary Medicine has an opening for a Post-Doctoral Associate. The Post-Doctoral Associate will be required to assist the Principal Investigator with the successful execution of an extramurally funded research program in the laboratory. The specific responsibilities may include mammalian cell culture, PCR, western blotting, viral transduction, and flow cytometry. Additional and general job responsibilities include the presentation of scientific data, preparation of manuscripts as well as routine assistance with the maintenance of laboratory animals, instruments, and inventories.
Depending on the interests and expertise of the person, the postdoc will have the option to work on one or both of the two major projects in the laboratory: regulation of antigen processing and presentation by TGF-β and modulation of macrophage function by TGF-β-treated mesenchymal stem cells.

  • The successful candidates will have a strong research background in Immunology and/or Molecular Biology.
