A Post-Doctoral position is available immediately to study Streptococcus mutans, protein translocation pathways particularly as related to membrane biogenesis. This includes designing, conducting experiments and data analysis. Specifically our lab studies the YidC1 and YidC2 membrane protein chaperone insertases and their cooperative interactions with the signal recognition particle pathway. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and have a solid record of scientific productivity and publication, excellent oral and written communication skills in English, as well as the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Salary is commensurate with experience and range follows NIH guidelines. This is an NIH grant-funded position and is renewable annually based on performance and the availability of research funds. |

$47,476-$56,484 per year - based on NIH guidelines and applicant experience. |
Minimum Requirements: |
A Ph.D. in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field is required. |
