Posting Summary
Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the School of Engineering is seeking a Post-Doctoral Associate, who is expected to conduct research tasks including:
  • Design, simulate and evaluate microwave and millimeter-wave integrated circuits (from baseband up to 100 GHz). Design areas will primarily encompass challenging millimeter-wave circuits for transmitting and receive paths including both active and passive components.
  • Implement circuits using either advanced CMOS technology or high-performance SiGe BiCMOS technology.


The position reports directly to Prof. Chung-Tse Michael Wu.

Minimum Education and Experience
The candidate should hold a PhD degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Physics, or a relevant field. 
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience in designing millimeter-wave integrated circuits using advanced CMOS technologies and/or SiGe BiCMOS in microwave and millimeter-wave frequency bands.
  •  Experience of electromagnetic modeling of integrated inductors, transformers, and transmission lines.
  • Experience of using circuit design software, such as Cadence, ADS, GoldenGate, as well as EM simulators including HFSS, CST, etc. 
  • Some knowledge of baseband digital interface.
Equipment Utilized
Probe station, vector network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, anechoic chambers, and etc.
