We are actively searching for two passionate and brilliant Postdoctoral Associates to join our dynamic research team at Dr. KiBum Lee’s lab at Rutgers University (https://kblee.rutgers.edu/ ). As a lab member, you will contribute to cutting-edge projects to develop innovative solutions for various debilitating diseases. Our research spans various areas, including neurodegenerative disorders like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s, CNS injuries, and the fight against cancer. These diverse areas have the potential to significantly improve the lives of many.
Within this exciting field, you will have the opportunity to explore multiple cutting-edge approaches. This includes utilizing the regenerative potential of stem cell therapy, developing highly sensitive diagnostic tools, harnessing the transformative power of gene editing, and constructing intricate tissue engineering scaffolds. Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
Ph.D. in a Relevant Field: Candidates must have completed a doctoral degree in a field relevant to the lab’s research focus. This includes fields such as Nanotechnology, Chemical Biology, Stem Cell Biology, Bioengineering, Molecular Biology, or related disciplines. The Ph.D. should be from an accredited institution and must be awarded by the start date of the position.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Research Experience: Candidates should have a strong research background, as demonstrated by their doctoral dissertation and previous research projects. Experience in nanotechnology, stem cell biology, and/or chemical biology is highly desirable.
Publication Record: A track record of publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals is expected. This showcases the candidate’s ability to conduct meaningful research and effectively communicate their findings.
Technical Expertise: Depending on the lab’s specific focus, experience with techniques such as nanoparticle synthesis, molecular imaging, microfluidics, gene editing, tissue culture, or other relevant methodologies may be required.
Analytical Skills: The ability to analyze and interpret complex scientific data is crucial. Familiarity with statistical software and data analysis tools relevant to the field is often necessary.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for presenting research findings, writing scientific papers, and collaborating with other researchers.

Laboratory environment. Universal safety precautions are mandatory.

Immunization Requirements


Under Policy 60.1.35 Immunization Policy for Rutgers Employees and Prospective Employees , Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
