The Bradley Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is seeking a Post Award Administrator, reporting to the Business Manager, responsible for the administration and monitoring of complex research awards. The Post Award Administrator works closely with ECE faculty and staff in the maintenance, analysis, interpretation, and management of financial accounting data for external funding from grants, contacts, sub-awards, and other agreements. With attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement, the Post Award Administrator ensures that external funding is governed by Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and is responsible for the day-to-day management of research awards in accordance with university/federal/sponsor policies and guidelines.

Responsibilities include portfolio management of awarded sponsored programs ensuring proper stewardship and use of received resources, preparation of information for financial reports to sponsors, preparation of relevant grant/contract data for timely invoicing, and the closeout in accordance with the terms of the award. Partners with Principal Investigators and the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) in the effective administration of grants, contracts, and cooperative agreements. Works closely with the PIs and OSP in post award coordination and operations, such as ensuring charges on research awards are reasonable, allowable, allocable and consistently treated, as well as accurately budgeting cost-share requirements.

This position will foster team work and collaboration, with demonstrated organizational skills and a high commitment to customer service by applying skills and experience to the review of research grants and agreements and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and university regulations and guidelines.
