Job Description

The Policy Coordinator will provide instrumental support for multiple facets of Penn LDI’s operations, including research updates and communications. These duties provide exposure to many aspects of health policy and cutting-edge health services research. This position is an exciting growth opportunity for an individual interested in learning about and facilitating impactful work in influencing and improving health care access and coverage, health equity, care for older adults, the opioid epidemic, and population health.
The Policy Coordinator will independently assist with select faculty research projects, as well as the identification, creation, dissemination, and communication of Penn LDI’s written policy-related content. This includes drafting content, and editing written content, assisting with customized dissemination plans, publishing content on the LDI website, and helping to track progress on assigned projects. This position will also be responsible for creating content for LDI’s social media accounts on X (formerly Twitter) and LinkedIn.

Candidates must excel at effective communication with multiple constituencies including faculty, staff, students, internal and external partners, and government agencies. The role also requires flexibility and the ability and willingness to support multiple projects and priorities at LDI.
A Bachelor's Degree and 2 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. The Policy Coordinator must be detail oriented, excel at problem solving and multitasking, have very strong writing skills, and be a self-starter with a results orientation. Familiarity with health care, health policy, population health and/or health services research is strongly preferred. Experience with social media platforms, specifically X (formerly Twitter) and LinkedIn, is preferred.
