Job Summary:


This position will assist pharmacists with medicine preparation and distribution in the KY Clinic Pharmacy and/or other retail pharmacy sites operating under University of Kentucky Pharmacy Services. Primary duties include filling and distributing prescriptions in a busy retail-based setting and providing exceptional customer service to pharmacy customers and patients.
The successful Senior Technician will be reliable, punctual, works well within a team, and possesses exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Pharmacy Senior Technicians for Ambulatory Pharmacy Services will play an integral role in ensuring overall customer satisfaction and that a positive patient experience are achieved for all Chandler and Good Samaritan retail pharmacy patrons. The ability and desire to work and grow in a fast-paced, complex, and ever-changing field within a dynamic and cutting-edge pharmacy is essential for individuals in this position. This position is eligible for a recruitment bonus. Additional details will be provided during the hiring process should your application be selected to move forward. 
The starting pay for this position was recently adjusted. The minimum hourly rate for this position will now be $18.50/hour. All pay rates will be based on candidate's experience.

This position requires dependability and the ability to prioritize. The successful candidate must be reliable and demonstrate excellent attention to detail.

Required Related Experience:

Required License/Registration/Certification :


Nationally certified Pharmacy Technician by either PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT); Registered with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Education/Experience:


One year of previous work experience (in a related field). Prefer previous pharmacy tech experience or work/classes in medical field. Hired candidate must maintain state licensure in good standing. Prefer one year of full-time (or educational equivalent) work experience and candidate must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).
