Job Description

This is a temporary postdoctoral position anticipated to last through May 2026. It will be a 9 month contract both years and is eligible for the full State of Idaho benefits package.

The position requires disciplinary expertise in the design of dosage forms with an interest in research relevant to formulations development, drug delivery and pharmacokinetics.  

Key Responsibilities

The individual chosen for this position will be expected to teach approximately 2 credits/year in Dosage Form Design and 1 credit/year in Pharmaceutical Calculations under the supervision of a senior faculty member.  Research projects may be developed independently or under the mentorship of one of our research faculty members.  A particular interest in radiopharmaceutical drug delivery systems is highly desired, although other areas of research interest relevant to formulation development and pharmacokinetics will also be considered.  Opportunities for collaboration exist between the ISU Linear Accelerator Center and the Pharmaceutical science department as we work to develop a center for radiopharmaceutical formulations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics or related discipline

Preferred Qualifications

• PharmD degree or a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics, Biopharmaceutics, or a related field

• A stated interested and experience in pharmaceutical formulations

• A desire to pursue an academic career in research and teaching

• Experience in research and scholarship

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work within a team structure
