Description

Penn State Learning, which provides academic assistance for undergraduate students at University Park, is seeking peer tutors for algebra, trigonometry, and calculus. Responsibilities include one-on-one tutoring, small group tutoring, online tutoring, and leading exam reviews for MATH 004 through MATH 141. Peer tutors are expected to work at least 4 hours per week during spring and fall semesters. Peer tutors must be willing to participate in appropriate training as needed. Candidates must be full-time undergraduate students at University Park expecting to graduate in Fall 2017 or later. Mathematics, mathematics education, science, and engineering majors are preferred. Applicants must have earned an A- or better in MATH 140 and MATH 141 (or equivalent coursework). Candidates must submit a resume, cover letter and unofficial transcript that includes documentation of final grades for MATH 140 and MATH 141.
