Cardiac Sonographer 

Essential Duties:

  • Performs all modern non-invasive vascular studies to include but not limited to color Doppler imaging, segmental pressures, plethysmography, and transcutaneous po2 monitoring.
  • Maintains patient time log of studies performed and initial findings.
  • Monitors and orders supplies and materials for use in the non-invasive vascular or cardiac laboratory.
  • Contacts supervising physician for initial impressions and special procedures.
  • Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the functions of the position.
 

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

Required Education: Associate's Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, AND:

  • 12 months experience as a Cardiac Sonographer

Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 24 months Sonographer experience or training in lieu of the Associate's Degree for a total of 36 months experience.

Working Conditions:

  • Physical: Standing for long periods of time. Reaching and walking. 
  • Environmental: Clinic Environment.

Certifications or Licenses:

  • Certified as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers
