Job Summary
The Department of Family Medicine is accepting applications for a Patient Care Specialist for the Bristol Family Medicine Clinic. The Patient Care Specialist works under the general supervision of the Nurse Manager performing clinical duties.
Work performed involves knowledge of the basic principles and practices of nursing, and a variety of tasks in an ambulatory health care setting including:
  • Assisting professional nurses in all aspects of clinical care
  • Administering injections
  • Performing EKG’s
  • Gathering specimens
  • Assisting with special procedures and general workups
  • Performing other related non-professional nursing and clerical duties as required.

  • Knowledge of the basic principles and practices of nursing
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Skilled in providing patient care per the facility’s applicable standards, policies, and procedures.
Required Qualifications
  • High school graduate
  • CMA (AAMA certification) LPN or RN
  • Verification of Hepatitis B immunization
  • A current CPR card
Preferred Qualifications
