Patient Care Coordinator II - Pediatric /Orthodontic Clinic

Creighton University is seeking to hire a Front Desk / Patient Care Coordinator for the School of Dentistry Pedo/OrthoTeam. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, flexible, and customer service driven. This position will function as a patient liaison during clinic sessions to ensure quality as to patient access, experience, and the flow and timeliness of patient care.   Bilingual in English and Spanish languages preferred but not required.

 

Full-time entry level role will work Monday through Friday day hours (typically 7:30 am to 4:30 pm). 

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Primary contact for front desk registration and patient check-in/patient check-out.
  • Patient admissions, scheduling, re-assignments, and referrals.
  • Responsible for gathering patients’ insurance information and setting up financial arrangements.
  • Assigning students to Ortho patients, scheduling appointments with assigned students according to requirements.  Ensure that enough students are present for Pedo block.  
  • Run monthly unscheduled appointment list to call and get all patients scheduled for recall appointments and scheduling pedo and ortho referrals.
  • Monthly reports and mailings.   
  • This position will also include, but not limited to facilitating, faxes, correspondence, and record requests and any other associated clinical communications (phone calls , emails, data entry) and promoting positive patient and student clinical experiences.

 

Qualifications

  • Bilingual, Spanish preferred but all applicants will be considered.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years related experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail required.
