The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Part-Time Temporary National Intelligence Summer Academy Stadd Assistant on the Cumming campus. The UNG National Intelligence Summer Academy (NISA) is an immersive, academic camp for high-achieving high school students during the summer of their Sophomore, Junior, and/or Senior year. NISA is a 40-hour non-resident program that provides high school students with an introduction to the United States Intelligence Community (IC) and National Security Studies. NISA provides a broad overview of the career field of Intelligence, the authorized activities of an intelligence professional, and the composition of the United States Government IC. In collaboration with the UNG Strategic and Security Studies program, NISA will take place on the UNG Cumming campus from July 15th to 18th and on July 19th, 2024, on the Dahlonega campus. The Part-Time Temporary NISA Staff Assistant will report daily to the NISA Project Manager. The Part-Time Temporary NISA Staff Assistant will coordinate administrative and logistic operations for NISA between July 15-19, 2024, and will assist with preparation activities on July 12, 2024.

  • Work with NISA Coordinator to coordinate and execute all NISA administrative matters.
  • Facilitate NISA logistical and classroom matters.
  • Work with NISA Academic Director and Coordinator.
  • Assist with monitoring academy subject matter and understanding.
  • Assist with physical setup and preparation for the academy.
  • Promote and recruit for the UNG Corps of Cadets.
  • Promote and recruit for the UNG Strategic and Security Studies Program.

 

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilties

  • The individual selected as the Part-Time Temporary NISA Staff Assistant will exhibit strong leadership skills, integrity, dependability, and personal initiative. 
  • The individual must be organized, flexible, and able to communicate effectively with NISA team members. 
  • The Part-Time Temporary NISA Staff Assistant needs to be hard-working, a self-starter, and one who enjoys working toward providing a professional experience for high school students selected to attend NISA.
  • High School Diploma or GED required. 
  • At least 29 college credit hours completed required.
  • First Aid and CPR Certifications are a plus, but not required.
