Part-Time Student UX Designer

VICE PRES INFORMATION TECHNLGY (UA-VPIT-IUBLA)

  • Reports to the NAEI Experience Team Leader.
  • Works closely with NAEI's Experience Team on some of the University's most used products, including IU Mobile and One.IU.
  • Working alongside UX designers, business analysts, and developers, you'll be evaluating our products, proposing improvements, and designing new features.
  • Collaborates with developers and business analysts on a range of design-oriented tasks, such as usability testing, 
  • Conducts user research, provide user feedback and recommendations, and bring a student voice to our process. 
  • Designs audits of our core products, data research, comparative analysis, and user interface design. 
  • Documents your processes and present your work to the team.
  • Additional tasks include conducting user research amongst your cohort and producing product feedback reports.

EDUCATION

Required

  • Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University 

SKILLS

Required

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Experience with Figma or related design software 
  • UI and visual design proficiency 
  • Wireframing and documentation of user flows 
  • Basic understanding of user analytics and data research 
  • Web or application development preferred, but not required 

The position is primarily remote, though opportunities to collaborate in person are possible. During agreed upon 20 hours per week, the part time student UX designer will need to be online and reachable via MS Teams.

This position is eligible for remote work, subject to change in the future based on university policy and business needs.
