UITS CLIENT TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT (UA-COSS-IUBLA)

University Information Technology Services (UITS)/Kelley Endpoint Team is looking for exceptional people to provide technical and troubleshooting support to multiple departments within the Kelley School of Business. We are willing to train motivated and excited learners and are committed to providing excellent customer service during every single client contact.

Department-Specific Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the delivery, installation, relocation, customization and support of dekstop computers, laptop computers, printers, and peripherials 
  • Maintains accurate device inventory records 
  • Generates and maintains support workflow and procedural documentation 
  • Generates and maintains supported resource documentation to aid in business continuity 
  • Ensures confidentiality, integrity, and accessibility of IT systems 
  • Participates in project planning and implementation 
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with IU polices  
  • Installs computing devices, and mounting brackets such as monitor arms or stands. 
  • Provides guidance on data storage and handling 
  • Provides guidance on IU IT Policy 
  • Helps develop digital workflow to increase efficiency 

EDUCATION

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES

Required

  • Valid driver's license with the ability to be insured by Indiana University

SKILLS

Required 

  • Knowledge of Windows and Mac OS and familiarity with a wide range of software applications
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to be friendly, have good communication and organizational skills, and ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Knowledge of university computing systems and aptitude and excitement for technology is a plus

This role requires the ability to regularly move up to 10 pounds, frequently move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally move up to 50 pounds needed to transport equipment. 

This is an in-person position at the Kelley School of Business.

20-29 hours per week, Monday - Friday 8 A.M. - 5 P.M.

The person in this position is required to commit to work at least 2 full semesters. Schedules are set on a semester basis.
