Job Summary/Basic Functions
The Sociology Part-Time Instructor will lead or facilitate instruction for Sociology courses such as SOC 131 Introductory Sociology, SOC 235 Social Problems, SOC 245 Sociology of the Family, SOC 310 Population and Society, SOC 399 Gender and Society, and SOC 400 Race and Ethnicity. Instruction may be online or in-person, depending on Sociology Program needs. Applicants should specify in their cover letter if they are only available to teach in one format. Part-Time Instructors chosen to facilitate online the SOC 399 Gender & Society online course will work with the course instructor to moderate online discussion, answer student questions, and grade assignments. Applicants should have at least 18 hours in a related graduate degree. Sociology M.A., M.S., or Ph.D. preferred.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree plus 18 Graduate credit hours

Sociology M.A., M.S., or Ph.D. preferred.
