JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

A part time Research Technologist one position is available in the Neural & Behavioral Sciences Department at Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA, in the laboratory of Christopher Chen.

The applicant will be responsible for organizing and conducting a series of immunohistochemical and microscopic studies, as well as conducting patch clamp electrophysiology experiments.

The technician must have good organizational skills, ability to follow instructions and work independently. 

The proper candidate will have a background in Neuroscience scientific field, an enthusiastic attitude, and grit. This is a fixed term appointment for one year from date of hire with possibility of refunding. 

The following clearances must be successfully completed for this position:  

• Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check  
• Pennsylvania Child Abuse History
• Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Criminal Background Check
