Position Summary Information


Objective
The Learning Center Tutor is a part-time staff position at Blinn College and the tutor supports classes they have previously taken previously as a student. Students that have never taken classes at BLINN can apply to become a Learning Center Tutor, but they would have to taken a class that is the equivalent to the class they will be supporting at the Learning Center. The candidate will need an instructor referral from Blinn or the college they are currently or previously attended. The position will primarily be staffed in BLDG C, Room 217, but there may be times when you will be asked to tutor in other locations on campus at Blinn College or occasionally over Zoom. Learning Center Tutors will primarily support the subjects they are hired to tutor but may be required to complete administrative clerical tasks when requested to do so.
Required Quals Summary
Must have received an “A” or “B” in class qualified to tutor.\A minimum GPA of 2.5 in related courses.
Special Notes To Applicants
This is a part time on-campus position, can work up to 19 hours per week during learning center business hours.
