JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Infrastructure Division within Penn State Information Technology is looking for a Part-Time IT Infrastructure Specialist to join the Enterprise Networks and Communication Services (ENCS) Network and Design team. The Infrastructure Division provides a world-class set of technologies and services to a world-class university, providing solutions and platforms on which the Penn State community can do great things.  

This position requires in-person work on campus. 

This position reports to Manager of Networks and Design and will be responsible for the following: 

• Perform defined processes and practices to support management of systems, software, and networks 

• May install, configure, upgrade, and support systems, software, and networks 

• Audit and update device and cabling information as part of creating and maintaining accurate and complete system documentation 

The ideal candidate for this position will exemplify excellent customer service and team collaboration as well as thrive on helping people achieve great technological outcomes.    

This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
