Job Description

This is a part-time, temporary/seasonal position.  Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis to establish an applicant pool.  As vacancies occur, they are filled from the pool. This position is located at the Fallon campus.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from a regionally accredited institution of higher education in Machine Tool Technology or professionally related area. Or, a combination of education and professional experience.

  • One year of work experience in machining or related area.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) certification, any level (chucking, surface griding, milling and measurement, etc.) or any industry-recognized metalworking certification or ability to obtain within one year of hire.

  • Experience teaching in a community college setting.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the instruction of course and be available to students within the contract period.

  • Maintain accurate student records, including attendance and grades.

  • Participate in orientations, division and faculty meetings as required.

  • Participate in student assessment and student retention activities as required.

  • Maintain instructional materials, labs, inventories, etc.

  • Other duties as assigned.
