Primary Purpose | To provide instruction in for-credit activity classes offered by the Health & Human Performance (HHP) department. The HHP department offers a wide variety of physical activity classes such as weight training, circuit training, yoga, Pilates, tai chi, martial arts, studio cycling, jogging, mountain biking, basketball, softball, rugby, volleyball, hip-hop, aerobic dance, step aerobics, and many more. The instructor must demonstrate safe and effective teaching and expertise in the activity for which they are applying. This is a part-time instructor position, non-represented and non-benefited. |

Ergonomic Requirements | Ability to work in classroom and office environments using computers, white boards, projectors, and other basic office equipment. Requires the ability to sit or stand at workstation for extended periods. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms. Requires near visual acuity to write, read written materials and computer screens, and sufficient hearing and speech ability for ordinary telephonic conversations. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds. All individuals are required to be able to perform the essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation. |
