Primary Purpose | Provide instruction in Criminal Justice as a member of an instructional team of full and part time instructors. Instruction is primarily in the 100 level required courses in the Associate of Applied Science Degree. These courses include, Introduction to Criminal Justice, The Judicial Process and Law Enforcement. Criminal Justice faculty should have some experience in the field through law enforcement, corrections or probation and parole. In addition to teaching within the criminal justice curriculum, faculty will direct student discussion, select learning experiences appropriate for meeting objectives and evaluate student performance in the classroom. This is a part-time instructor position, non-represented and non-benefited. |

Ergonomic Requirements | Regular office hours are established between 8 am – 5 pm during the workweek. A flexible work schedule, including nights and weekends, may be necessary due to the nature of the responsibilities. Incumbent must be able to function effectively indoors in an office environment engaged in work of primarily a sedentary nature. Requires the ability to work at a workstation for extended periods. Requires to write, read written materials and computer screens, and ability to use telephonic conversations. Occasional lifting up to 25lbs. All individuals are required to be able to perform the essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation. |
