EKU’s Department of Biological Sciences (https://biology.eku.edu/) includes a robust group of more than 25 full-time faculty who work collaboratively among themselves and with other departments and colleges at EKU. The department engages in both basic and applied research, and faculty have access to state-of-the-art biomedical research suites (constructed in 2017) with a wide range of scientific equipment allowing research from cellular to whole animal levels. Partnerships with R1 universities in the region afford our faculty and students access to molecular core facilities.

 

Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Department of Biological Sciences at EKU is seeking part-time instructors to teach undergraduate lectures and laboratories starting Spring 2024 semester with options to renew. Course load of up to 9 credit hours, depending on need, including (but not limited to) introductory biology (for majors and for non-majors), human anatomy and physiology.
Candidates must have a Master's degree in the related field, with at least 18 graduate credit hours from a regionally (SACS, Middle States, North Central, etc.) accredited or internationally recognized institution. Review of applications will begin immediately.

Candidates must have a Master's degree in the related field, with at least 18 graduate credit hours from a regionally (SACS, Middle States, North Central, etc) accredited or internationally recognized institution. For lecture instruction, graduate degree in Biology or a closely related field is required; Ph.D. preferred.
