Part-time Job Announcement

Position: Part-time AHA Instructor/Course Coordinator

Location: Athens Campus

Department: Division of Life Sciences & Public Safety

Reports to: Divisional Academic Dean & Program Chair of EMS Education

Salary/Benefits: Salary is commensurate with education and experience. No State of Georgia benefits.

Responsibilities: The successful applicant will be expected to coordinate and instruct AHA courses (BLS, ACLS, and PALS) for the College’s industry partners. This includes scheduling AHA courses, recruiting instructors, managing records, issuing completion eCards and helping other AHA instructor within Athens Technical College with eCards and maintaining AHA instructor credentials.

Skills & Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current Georgia licensed paramedic, RN, or PA.
  • Current AHA Instructor in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
  • Considerable knowledge of principles and techniques of educational and training methods.
  • Considerable knowledge of advanced emergency medical treatment.
  • Experience in the instruction of AHA, BLS, ACLS, PALS.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • American Heart Association Training Center Faculty.
  • Licensed Georgia EMS Instructor.
