General Description / Primary Purpose
This position is responsible for a variety of duties associated with front office operations for Parking Services. Assisting customers in the lobby, by phone, and by e-mail are primary functions of this position. These functions may include giving directions to specific locations around the campus community, sharing relevant information about campus parking and transportation, assisting customers with changes to their parking account, and completing payment transactions for parking tickets and parking permits. Having a working knowledge of UNF parking regulations and the parking citation appeal process is required. This position may be the first point of contact for new guests on campus. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are needed in order to provide the customer service level required to be successful. A successful candidate keeps accurate financial records and end-of-day totals. Use of a personal desktop computer with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft products is also a necessity. Without well versed and trained team members in these positions, Parking Services will be unable to provide consistent, high quality, customer service.

Essential Duties


Job Function
Maintains a strong working knowledge of UNF Parking and Transportation Services regulations, procedures, systems, and products. Provides high-quality service to customers in-office, by phone, and by e-mail. Safeguards customer information to ensure adherence to FERPA laws and PCI Compliance standards. Completes occasional training as directed. Effectively advises students, faculty, staff, vendors, and guests regarding parking options, permits, and policies. Provides accurate directions for how to use UNF parking systems. Gathers information and recommends appropriate options based on the customer’s category and needs. Processes transactions and changes to customer parking accounts. Receives and records payments. Keeps accurate record of payments remitted and reconciles sales drawer daily. Investigates and resolves questions or issues regarding campus parking or citations. Assists customers with disability parking accommodations. Assists UPD with police-related situations as needed. Advises customers of options for submitting appeals or making payments. Escalates cases to supervisor(s), campus police, or other departments when appropriate. Corresponds with enforcement team regarding vehicle immobilization, permit verification, special events, or other campus parking issues. Assists supervisor(s) with payment plans and collections as directed. Performs other departmental administrative tasks as assigned.

Organize files and paperwork. Provide occasional coverage for other associates’ work shifts, which may include an opening shift from 7 AM or a closing shift through 6 PM.

High school diploma and four years of experience directly related to the job functions. Directly related college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
