Parking and Transportation Event Staff - Institutional Student Worker

The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for Event Staff Student Assistants in the Parking and Transportation department. This position is in the of Office of Parking & Transportation Services, a division of Auxiliary Services, and reports to the Parking and Transportation Manager on the Dahlonega Campus, The Parking Event Staff will be responsible for parking enforcement, event parking & traffic flow coordination, driving shuttle bus as needed, and performing various other duties to ensure Parking and Transportation provide a safe environment for the University community and visiting guests. Periodic evening and weekend work for events on campus.

  • Prepare parking areas for various events: placement of signs, banners, barricades, cones. 
  • Greet and assist guests entering and leaving decks, or lots, direct traffic (flagging), direct incoming guests to available parking spaces. 
  • Coordinate with Parking and Transportation team members, Event Manager, and or Campus Police to ensure safety and customer service standards are met.  
  • Monitor parking areas to enforce parking regulations and prevent unauthorized parking or misuse of parking. 
  • Adhere to UNG Parking policies, procedures, and guidelines to uphold a high standard of professionalism and customer service. 
  • Perform vehicle counts for assigned area. 
  • Drive shuttle bus or other university vehicle when needed. 
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
