Description of Duties
• Work alongside, and support orientation and training of staff and students in:
o Cooking and/or baking menu items
o Dough management
o Pizza tossing, topping, launching, and portioning.
o Performance of quality control assessments, including Slice Quality Rating (SQR), Pie Quality Rating (PQR), Quality Service Cleanliness (QSC), Product and Food Safety Audits.
o Adherence to customer service standards.
• Review recipes and consult with the unit manager to confirm production goals and service needs.
• Introduce new and seasonal menu items through testing and hands-on training.
• At the end of the shift, disposition all food that has been on display or held in the kitchen and document waste.
• Ensure that all items in walk-in and in other storage areas are properly labeled.
• Review par levels and ensure the station is properly stocked for the next day, submitting orders as needed.
• Monitor catering and pickup orders.
• Perform all responsibilities to standards of Pagliacci franchise, Washington State Health Code, and UW Dining.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Position Dimensions
The position is a nine-month cyclic position that works mid-September to mid-June.  Additional work may be available in the summer based on business needs and seniority. While staff are hired into specific positions, they may be reassigned to a different unit or schedule with two weeks of notice.

Minimum Qualifications
• Possession of, or eligible to obtain a Washington State Food Worker Card within two weeks of employment AND one year of experience preparing and serving food and maintaining clean work area; or equivalent education/experience.

Additional Qualifications
• A satisfactory outcome from the employment verification and reference check processes.
• Pagliacci Core Cook Certification within 1 year of hire date.
