Work Schedule Summary
Work schedule will vary depending on work load. This position will be scheduled to work as early as 6:00am and as late as 9:30pm, as well as weekends and holidays. Multiple positions will be hired, there is opportunity to work through the summer until the course closes for the season in the fall.
Shifts will generally last between 3 and 5 hours. Most shifts will be weekends or evenings but may be scheduled during any of the times listed above.

Position Responsibilities


Position Summary
Under the direction of the Head Golf Pro, the Outside Service staff performs duties including:
  • Collecting and cleaning range balls
  • Maintaining golf carts through cleaning, fueling, and staging
  • Managing cart staging areas for tee times
  • Providing course marshaling and player assistance
  • Monitoring course conditions and performing minor maintenance
  • Maintaining on-course restrooms and drinking stations
  • Assisting with tournament operations
  • Supporting pro shop staff as needed
  • Monitoring for outside alcohol and enforcing policies
  • Other duties as assigned

Responsibilities


Job Duty Function Assists in Pro Shop by:
Job Duties/Responsibilities
  • Collecting and cleaning range balls on the driving range and practice areas;
  • Cleaning and maintaining golf carts, ensuring proper fueling, washing, and staging for player use;
  • Managing cart staging areas, parking carts properly and having them ready for tee times;
  • Providing course marshaling by driving a cart around the course during play;
  • Assisting players on the course by delivering supplies, providing directions, resolving issues, and offering player assistance;
  • Monitoring course conditions and perform minor maintenance like raking bunkers, repairing divots, or clearing debris;
  • Maintaining cleanliness of on-course restroom facilities and drinking stations;
  • Assisting with tournament operations by moving tee markers, distributing signage, etc.

· Assist the pro shop staff as needed;
  • Transporting player bags and clubs to/from their cars;
  • Assisting with setup and teardown for outings or tournaments;
  • Monitoring for outside alcohol being brought onto the course and enforce club policies.

Position Qualifications


Required Qualifications
  • Duties of this position require successful candidates to be at least 18 years of age.
  • Experience in providing customer service and building customer relations.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to meet policy requirements for driving university vehicles.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working at a golf course.
  • Member of PGA or enrolled in PGM program and has passed PAT.
  • Experience opening and closing cash register daily; working in a golf course pro shop.
  • Knowledge of golf equipment rental.
  • Ability to work spring, summer, and fall when the course is open.
  • Good knowledge of the game of golf.
  • Possess good mathematical skills.
  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in stressful situations.
  • Experience safely operating a golf cart.
