Summary

The Michigan Clinical Consultation & Care program is seeking an experienced, collaborative person to join our team as an Outreach and Engagement Specialist. MC3 provides no-cost psychiatry consultations, education, and resources to health care providers in Michigan treating pediatric and perinatal patients with behavioral/mental health concerns. MC3 offers its provider network live in-person and virtual trainings regionally and statewide, educational sessions with consulting psychiatrists, online educational modules, and local and regional behavioral health resource and referral navigation.

Responsibilities*
  • Engage with Leadership and Providers: Connect with health system leaders, physician organizations, and prescribing health professionals through outreach to promote program services and identify opportunities for enrollment and engagement. (30%)
  • Collaborate on Outreach Efforts: Work closely with regional Behavioral Health Consultants (BHCs) to deliver comprehensive, county-level outreach efforts aimed at increasing enrollment and utilization of MC3 services. (30%)
  • Present Program Information: Conduct presentations at practice and clinic levels to educate stakeholders about the MC3 program. (20%)
  • Facilitate Connections: Link MC3 regional BHCs and Child/Adolescent/Perinatal Psychiatrists with engagement opportunities to foster stronger relationships and program participation. (10%)
  • Data Management: Accurately enter outreach and engagement activities into the database to ensure effective tracking and reporting. (5%)
  • Represent at Events: Exhibit at local and statewide conferences and events to promote program visibility and engagement. (5%)

Required Qualifications*
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience 
  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience, including some in a supervisory capacity is normally required.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills 
  • Collaborative working style 
  • Ability to participate in statewide travel as needed
  • Ability to present to diverse audiences
  • Ability to prioritize deadlines and multi-task
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Desired Qualifications*
  • Master's degree or equivalent education or experience
  • Experience in or knowledge of primary care or healthcare setting

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week. Work hours should typically be conducted Monday-Friday between 8AM and 5PM.


Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third-party administrator to conduct background screenings.  Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.

In addition to the screenings indicated above under Michigan law, a criminal history check including fingerprinting is required as a condition of transfer or employment for this position.
