Physical Requirements
The physical requirements of this position will include occasionally lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to 50lbs; occasionally standing or walking with objects up to 25lbs; sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time with repetitive motions (such as typing); and occasional (<10% of the time) job-related travel. In addition this position will require lifting printed materials and walking on campus to locations convenient to learners and when teaching at offsite locations, will pack materials and take them to offsite.
Shift
Primary shift Monday through Friday 8AM-5PM. Will require delivering trainings to meet the schedules of health care leaders, including some evenings and possibly weekends on occasion.
Job Summary
This position is an integral member of UKHC team, supporting the Enterprise in being a top performing academic medical center. Supports the engagement of staff members and designs organizational development efforts to meet the strategic needs of the Enterprise, as they relate to staff development.
Assists with the execution UK HealthCare Leadership programs. Core functions of the job include creating a new employee experience from onboarding to orientation to year one of employment, by partnering with internal stakeholders, to creating Enterprise learning metrics and learning dashboard to leadership development and succession management. Leverages training modalities to provide innovative development. Partners with key stakeholders to implement best practices in learning. Stays apprised and educates key stakeholders of trends in learning and development.
Facilitates new employee orientation and new provider orientation in support of healthcare onboarding. Designs and facilitates leadership programs on focused groups such as key positions (healthcare providers, team supervisors, etc.) within the healthcare community. Designs programming for UKHC employees.
Partners with key UKHC stakeholders to understand organizational needs and design interventions that support the strategic needs and goals of the UKHC Enterprise.
Provides coaching and advanced organizational development support as determined by Enterprise Learning.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
The ideal candidate will possess strong management and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing; strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to effectively multitask large projects or initiatives; knowledge of adult learning principles related to curriculum design and development; strong customer service orientation with respect for diversity; extensive knowledge in all Microsoft programs; knowledge of or ability to learn SAP Learning Solutions (LSO); demonstrates strong analytical and qualitative research experience; be well organized; sound judgment; strong work ethic; and a high level of integrity and respect for confidentiality.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No
Preferred Education/Experience
Master’s Degree in organizational development, human resources, organizational/industrial psychology, or business preferred. Experience in advanced facilitation and training, at professional level highly preferred. Certification in any of the following preferred: MBTI, DISC, 360 instruments, coaching, and other inventories (e.g., Hogan, Birkman, Korn Ferry competency modeling), and master facilitation.
