Job Description:

The Department of Physical Therapy located in the College of Public Health and Health Professions is seeking a part-time OPS research assistant to work closely with Dr. Kim Dunleavy, the principal investigator (PI), on studies concerning the self-management of low back pain in nursery and landscape workers. This role involves supporting various aspects of the study, including tasks such as data collection, data entry, and compilation of videos (collect, compile, and organize video footage). The incumbent will be required to travel to different worksites across the Gainesville and Alachua areas to collect data and assist with other research-related duties as necessary.

Expected Salary:

$15.00 - $18.00 per hour; commensurate with education and experience.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in appropriate area of specialization or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficient in Spanish. 
  • Able to dedicate at least one full day per week (with travel to local worksites). 
  • Experience in videography and/or video editing. 
  • Demonstrates responsibility, flexibility, and adaptability.

This is a temporary, part-time position available for the summer/fall 2024 and spring 2025 semesters, requiring a commitment of at least 8 hours per week. Ideally, the incumbent is expected to work at least one full day per week.
