Job Description:

The Department of Medicine is seeking a professional individual to join our fiscal processing team.  This position is part of the shared services team processing fiscal transactions for all types of funds, include purchase orders, purchase card (p-card), invoices, journal entries, reimbursements, travel, and Faculty Clinical Practice Association transactions. The ideal candidate will have customer service experience, strong computer software skills and  have general accounting knowledge.


  • Responsible for processing fiscal transactions (on the shared service team), including p-card
    transactions, invoices, reimbursements, journal entries, requisitions, travel, and FCPA transactions.

  • Responsible for checking daily reports for budget exceptions, contacting division staff concerning
    the exceptions, and helping to decide what corrections are necessary. Process the necessary changes to
    clear all errors.

  • Maintain personal contact with the Health Center and University Purchasing. Instruct divisional
    staff on new state and university rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Keep all necessary training
    up to date. Maintain a working knowledge of University Disbursement Services and purchasing
    procedures.

  • Maintain property records for some divisions in the department.

  • Work with divisions regarding open encumbrances and to process necessary change orders to
    close or increase purchase orders.

  • Miscellaneous; perform other duties (as assigned by supervisor).
Expected Salary:

$16 - $18.54/hr

Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent and one year of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of
education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE: Working with Zoom and Microsoft Teams, UFConcur and MyMarket
 
KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of university and state rules, regulations, policy, and procedures pertaining to
fiscal transactions
