NE05Position Summary
Under direct supervision from assigned CNM Ingenuity Director or Manager provides operational support to CNM Ingenuity initiatives, including responsibilities in a business, revenue-generating environment. Performs a broad range of duties, including but not limited to customer service, technical and computer tasks, inventory and asset control, equipment maintenance, retail sales and payments, purchasing, data collection, employee supervision, and task related to functional operations of FUSE Makerspace.Duties & Responsibilities
- Grows business opportunities including new and repeat customers, clients, students members, tenants and partners.
- Assists with and supports revenue, expense and budget decision-making.
- Supports operation of designated program or business unit to ensure a stable, productive and safe work environment.
- Supports various types of equipment and systems including but not limited to computers, software, web-hosted systems, audio/visual equipment, cash drawer, hand tools, small equipment and/or vehicles.
- Maintains equipment and assets in favorable and presentable working condition and communicates issues when vendor services are required.
- Orders, purchase, receives, catalogs maintains and stores supplies, tools and equipment in accordance to established procedures and improves and automates efficiency.
- Communicates essential information to stakeholders, staff, customers and vendors (verbal and written).
- Prioritizes, schedules, plans and troubleshoots business matters and uses sound judgement in decision-making.
- Supervises Student Employees as assigned and participates in the review of applicants, as well as the hiring and/or corrective action processes.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED and three (3) years of closely related experience
Preferences
- Experience operating or maintaining 3D printing, Laser Cutting, CNC Routing, CNC Plasma, Welding, Woodworking, or other types of makerspace equipment.
- Hours are on an as needed basis
- Evenings and weekend availability needed.
- Maximum of 10 hours a week
