Position Summary

 The UNM Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Division of Community Behavioral Health (CBH) is seeking a self-motivated individual to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary team. The mission of CBH is to address health care disparities through: health services research and evaluation; capacity building; training and workforce development; and through increasing access to quality behavioral health services that are holistic, cost-effective and provided with respect to unique cultures and communities.
CBH is seeking an Operations Specialist to guide implementation of continuing education initiatives aimed at meeting grant deliverables. This position will play a pivotal role in developing, coordinating, and executing continuing education efforts across various projects. This position will provide expert guidance on processes and logistics to faculty, partners, and stakeholders and will work with community needs in mind.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing comprehensive education project plans tailored to meet grant deliverables.
  • Enhancing operational and administrative practices to ensure credentialing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Serving as a liaison between teams, partners, and leadership to facilitate trainings and project collaboration.
  • Coordinating education and training logistics and providing mentorship as necessary.
  • Conducting research to identify and implement best practices for managing the education core operations.
  • Providing daily education support to project faculty, staff, and partners.
  • Collaborating with vendors and stakeholders to foster partnerships and achieve project goals.
  • Assisting with activity reporting requirements, including reporting on metrics as needed.
  • Working closely with project Principal Investigators (PIs), clinical and non-clinical partners, and contributing to training and meeting facilitation efforts.

We are seeking candidates with a strong background in project implementation, in-person and virtual education delivery and support, and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate will possess experience in many systems/platforms and software; excellent written and oral communication skills; attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. They will be customer service-oriented; efficient; and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and can remain calm, kind and tactful under pressure.
This is a full-time, term, benefits eligible position.

Conditions of Employment
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 7 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Extensive experience with continuing education and credentialing
  • Extensive experience working with community behavioral health partners, including federal and tribal agencies
  • Experience with Smartsheet, RedCap, and other databases and software
  • Experience working with faculty and community partners
