Job Summary
 

The Operations Manager - IHLA will support the Institute for Health Logistics & Analytics' mission to enhance health and well-being in communities through the implementation of evidence-based practices and technology integration. This role will support the coordination and monitoring of operational activities for the Institute, especially as it relates to health outreach and research programs.  Additionally, the Operations Manager - IHLA will collaborate closely with various community partners, directing logistical and clerical support for special projects at the Institute.   

This position is time limited and 100% sponsored-funded; therefore, continued employment is contingent upon availability of grant or contract funding.


Responsibilities
 
  • Ensure that the programs and services offered by the Institute contribute to the Institute's mission
  • Supports Institute operations by maintaining office systems, inventory, and listservs for outreach
  • Perform, maintain, and improve Institute's administrative practices and procedures, in coordination with the Institute's Business & Finance Coordinator, to ensure compliance with all applicable internal and external policies, procedures, guidelines, and laws
  • Provide administrative support including weekly budget reports and processing payment, expense, travel, and reimbursement requests associated with assigned projects
  • Assist in planning, implementing and evaluating Institute activities and projects with excellent attention to detail
  • Monitor the day-to-day delivery of special projects at the Institute to maintain or improve quality or processes
  • Serve as the administrative contact for the Institute, help onboard, coordinate, and monitor student workers and in-field outreach teams
  • Coordinate and provide leadership on special projects assigned by the Institute Director

Required Qualifications
 

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution of higher education OR Seven (7) or more years of related work experience

Required Experience

  • Two (2) or more years of experience in administrative role

Preferred Qualifications
 

Preferred Experience

  • Two (2) or more years of experience with planning, coordinating, implementing, and communicating a range of programs and projects
  • Experience working in a healthcare or public health setting Experience working in a university setting 
  • Experience leading a team of people focused on outreach and customer service 
  • Experience working with financial reports and monitoring financial processes 
  • Experience working with community partners in education

Proposed Salary
 

$21.34 - $25.00

This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.

KNOWLEDGE

  • Experience writing, proofreading, editing, and reviewing documents and presentations for public, non-academic audiences

SKILLS

  • Effective communication (verbal and written), organizational and human relations skills
  • Technical skills with efficiency in adapting to new systems, services, and/or applications with ease, including those related to the use of spreadsheets and database systems
