The School of Physics at the Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for an Open-Rank Academic Professional or Senior Academic Professional (Non-Tenure Track Instructional Faculty), with a focus on teaching, outreach and academic advising responsibilities in astronomy and astrophysics. The successful candidate will join a team of 50 faculty (eight are non-tenure track) with broad research interests, including physics education, and will be a member of the Center for Relativistic Astrophysics. The School of Physics is planning to launch a new undergraduate major in Astrophysics in Fall 2025, and the successful candidate will be instrumental in implementing and developing this exciting new program.
