Open Rank, Clinical Psychology

The University of Houston-Clear Lake (UHCL) invites applications for an open rank tenure-track faculty position beginning August 2024 in the Health Service Psychology program (combined Clinical and School Psychology) and will include Program Director responsibilities. The program received full accreditation from the American Psychological Association in August 2023. The selected candidate will also contribute to the Clinical Psychology MA Program and the doctoral program. Both programs are housed in the Clinical, Health, and Applied Sciences department within the College of Human Sciences and Humanities. Appointment (assistant, associate, or full professor) is at the level commensurate with experience. Area of research expertise is open, with preference given to those with a behavioral, cognitive behavioral, third-wave cognitive behavior, or health psychology focus.

Duties:

• Administration in one of the programs,
• Teaching the equivalent of 3 classes per 9 months (fall and spring),
• Supervision and advising of doctoral and master’s students, including research supervision of theses and dissertations.
• Maintain a productive research program with potential for student involvement.

Required:

1. Doctorate in clinical psychology from APA-accredited program

2. Psychology licensure (Licensed Psychologist) or license-eligibility.

Preferred:

• Applicants with evidence of or potential for teaching excellence across a wide range of psychology courses, particularly with emphases related to practicum, CBT, and health psychology.
• Bilingual Skills (especially Spanish)
