Essential Duties and Responsibilities | Successful candidates will 1) teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses in both traditional and online formats; 2) coordinate programs; and 3) contribute to the department, college, and university’s mission through service. Candidates will also have a demonstrated and ongoing commitment to serving culturally and linguistically diverse students. |

Department Information | The Department of Curriculum and Instruction offers undergraduate teacher certification programs in elementary education, elementary bilingual and ESL education, secondary education, and special education. An expanding offering of on-campus and online certification, endorsements, and master’s degree programs in areas such as literacy education; “Mind, Brain, and Education”; Instructional and Learning Design Technology; mathematics education; and science education, with additional programs in the planning stages. Home to 1,300 students, 40 faculty members, and 25 staff members, the College of Education not only prepares education professionals to lead North Texas in a dynamic and changing environment, but also contributes to the national dialogue surrounding education in the 21st Century. The College has two departments: Curriculum and Instruction, and Educational Leadership and Policy Studies with more than 600 graduates in 2022-2023.
