The ideal candidate will be interested in an academic research career conducting independent research related to improving maternal health and health equity with particular interest in quality improvement, community engagement, and/or population health.  The ideal candidate will have:

• A high level of motivation to achieve equitable maternal and perinatal health
• Experience or interest in doing community-driven, interdisciplinary research
• Strong training in quantitative or qualitative research methods (e.g., causal inference methods, Bayesian methods, reflexivity, constructivist grounded theory, mixed methods, or implementation science)
• Experience with quantitative or qualitative data management and analyses using statistical software (eg, SAS, R, NVivo)
• Excellence in communicating research findings, both in writing and via presentations
• Experience or interest in collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders and colleagues (e.g., community-based partners, project management staff, research directors, undergraduate research assistants)
• Fluency in English
NOTE: Applicants need not have completed their doctoral training prior to applying, although training must be completed prior to the start of the fellowship.
