The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition and Rosen Laboratory is seeking a creative, collaborative, and self-motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to conduct research on epithelial metabolic dysregulation in chronic intestinal inflammation and inflammatory bowel disease. The Rosen Lab’s translational research program applies observations from human studies of pediatric inflammatory bowel disease to study epithelial and immune disease mechanisms in murine and organoid models of disease.
The applicant must hold a Ph.D., MD, or equivalent qualification. Training or experience in one or more of the following fields is required: epithelial biology, cellular metabolism, or organoid biology. Experience applying computational biologic approaches is desirable. The individual in the position will conduct their own research project under the mentorship of Michael Rosen, MD, MSCI, and will work collaboratively with other lab members or collaborators on projects. The applicant will be expected to apply for intramural and extramural post-doctoral fellow funding mechanisms.
The Rosen Laboratory is part of the Stanford Medicine Children’s Health Center for IBD and Celiac Disease , which is supported by a transformative philanthropic gift. The mission of the Center is to integrate care and research to elevate the lives of all children with IBD and Celiac Disease. The laboratory is located in the beautiful new Stanford Research Park campus of Stanford University, at the newly renovated 1701 Page Mill Rd Building. Stanford University is a thriving research community, consisting of over 8,000 contiguous acres, with a $1.93 billion annual research budget and a 28.9 billion dollar endowment.
