Overview: The Yiadom Lab, also known as the Emergency Care Health Service Research Data Coordinating Center (HSR-DCC), is a Stanford-based emergency care research lab that uses routine clinical data, epidemiology, predictive modeling and artificial intelligence to address time-sensitive emergency conditions.  Work includes 1) a heavy focus on cardiovascular disease conditions, but also 2) studies on the safety and effectiveness of novel clinical operations interventions to improve health care delivery. In addition, the HSR-DCC works with many other institutions on collaborative research within the US and internationally.
The Team: The team consists of clinicians, biostatisticians, machine learning experts, medical informaticists, electronic health record data specialists in addition to a large network of interdisciplinary collaborators. We use team sciences approaches to execute all studies.  As a result, we provide all trainees an opportunity to participate in many labs studies, but take on select studies as the lead and focus of their training.  The selected post-doc would be responsible for the conduct of studies.
The Position: This is post-doctoral fellowship position in the School of Medicine within Stanford University with exposure to clinical care delivered within Stanford Health Care and Internationally.  The post-doc will be one of at least 3 fellows conducting research in our lab along with residents and medical students, and expected to commit no less than 2 years. Exposure to clinical practice administration, data, data analysis and method to produce analysis results that can influence practice will be the focus of training and productivity support.
