The Trauma and Health Equity and Access Lab (Trauma-HEAL) is seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar for a full-time, two-year appointment in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University. This position will assist in the leadership of four clinical trials examining interventions for PTSD and related psychopathology in community settings, as well as working on other ongoing projects for data analysis and dissemination efforts. The key focus of these trials is extending the reach of our interventions to those who need them most. We are looking for fellows who seek a clinical science-oriented career and excel both at the provision and supervision of cognitive behavioral psychotherapy and research. The fellow will be supervised by Dr. Debra Kaysen.
The clinical trials examine treatment for PTSD among sexual and gender minorities, testing interventions for reducing PTSD and high risk drinking, and developing an integrated intervention for PTSD and opiate use disorder to be delivered in syringe service programs. All trials involve collaboration with other universities or non-profit partners.
The fellowship will primarily involve helping coordinate these intervention outcome studies. The position includes training and consultation with supervisors, a potential for provision of direct clinical service to participants enrolled in trials, data management and statistical analysis, manuscript and presentation preparation, and assisting with grant preparation.
