Moores Cancer Center at UC San Diego Health is the only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in the San Diego region. Such centers are prominent among the leading institutions in the nation that are dedicated to scientific innovation and clinical excellence. UC San Diego Health Cancer Services is growing in North County San Diego and has openings for a medical oncologist. The physician will be joining the UC San Diego Health- Rancho Bernardo location. Other oncology clinical services offered at Rancho Bernardo include breast surgery, breast medical oncology, hematology, gynecologic oncology, colorectal and head and neck surgery. This site will have infusion services starting in April, 2024.UC San Diego values equity, diversity, and inclusion.   • Must have 2-3 years post-fellowship experience; have to be able to perform independently

  • Must be board certified in medical oncology; Hematology and IM boards optional

  • Outpatient only, no inpatient responsibilities

  • Rancho Bernardo location, which includes primary care, specialty care, express care, lab, pharmacy, and imaging

  • Managed service provider (MSP) position

  • 4.5 full days (8 in person sessions, 1 telehealth session; 4 hours of administrative time)

  • EPIC experience preferred

This is a contract position with the possibility of extension.
